Downtown Rockland has become one of the Midcoast’s most vibrant destinations, filled with galleries, museums, local shops, coffee spots, bars, and scenic waterfront walks. Waterworks sits right in the middle of it all, making us an easy and inviting stop whether you’re out for an evening stroll, visiting a gallery opening, or meeting friends for dinner and drinks. We’re also conveniently located within a short drive of Camden and Rockport, with much of the Midcoast just 10–15 minutes away.

One of the things that makes Waterworks truly special is our variety of seating and the ease with which we can accommodate almost any gathering. Inside, you’ll find a large, beautifully crafted wooden bar that comfortably seats over 20 guests. Perfect for casual drinks, conversation, or enjoying a meal at the bar.

Beyond the bar, our dining room offers everything from intimate tables for two to tables for four and six, as well as large communal tables that can seat up to 20 guests each. With multiple spacious layouts available, Waterworks is well-suited for everything from date nights and family dinners to celebrations, group outings, and casual get-togethers.

When the weather allows, our outdoor deck offers another wonderful way to enjoy Waterworks. The deck features a variety of seating options and a unique balance of sunshine and shade. Thanks to its tucked-in location, it remains comfortably sheltered from the wind while still offering warm sunlight. Making it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal, sip a cocktail, or gather with friends outdoors.

Parking Made Easy

Waterworks is located on Lindsey Street, a one-way street leading directly to Main Street. We offer on-site parking with approximately 10 dedicated spaces, along with additional street parking on Lindsey Street. Even more parking is available on Main Street itself, just a few steps away, making access easy whether you’re dining in or picking up an order.

Walk-Ins, Groups & Takeout

Waterworks is primarily a first come, first served restaurant, and we always happily welcome walk-ins. Our spacious layout allows us to accommodate a wide range of party sizes, and we do our best to be flexible and welcoming during both quiet moments and busy evenings.

For larger groups, special gatherings, or private events, we encourage guests to give us a call ahead of time so we can discuss options and help plan the best possible experience.

Takeout orders are also available by phone. While availability may be limited during peak service times, we’re always happy to prepare takeout when our kitchen capacity allows.
